Functional with a Twist

Decorating my front porch is one of my favorite things. I enjoy getting creative each season and holiday, trying to make it unique, yet remain one of the coziest and welcoming spots in our home. I shopped Walmart Home for the seasonal basics, and stepped it up this year with some cozy, functional pieces from Walmart that can be incorporated out on the porch, or inside, all year round. But just wait for the plot twist…

Cozy & Warm

Lanterns and flameless candles should just be a staple in all households. Can we just make that a rule? Nothing says cozy more than a good candle flickering inside of a beautiful, oversized lantern. I think I’m going to grab some more for the fireplace mantel for winter. I just love the ambience.

I love a jute rug on the porch because it says homey, but let’s stay among nature. This one has a super chunky texture I just love.

Obligatory Fall Things

I needed to switch out my old back pillows, so I grabbed two 2-packs of these neutral pillows that I knew would be the perfect size and vibe for this spot.

OF COURSE I had to add a cozy, rust colored blanket to call for everyone to cuddle on the swing. And could I even call myself a home decor influencer if I didn’t add in the obligatory corn stalks, mums, hay bales, and pumpkins? Come on, now…

Light it Up… but Wait…

Can we just all agree that you can warm up a space and create an inviting moment, just by adding warm white market lights? These would be great outside in a backyard, in a kitchen, anywhere you want.

But, I bet right now, you’re saying…”Wait…didn’t you tell us that you were switching out your old market lights FOR something COOL …. but, all you did was add more warm white lights?!?!”

That’s what I knew you’d say…..

PLOT TWIST

Ta-Da! SURPRISE!!

WHAT?! These Holiday Time LED Edison Multi-Color to Warm White market lights change from our favorite, classic warm white with a turn of a dial to COLORED CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!! One set of lights for most of the year, and bam, save time and money in one switch.It has 8 different functions….. I AM BESIDE MYSELF! How festively functional can you get? They look so much better in persona, this is the best I could get with a photo. They don’t make everything this blue color and they’re a bit truer to color and deeper/brighter than they look here.But, I am just in love. What a cool idea and why are we just now coming up with this?
